Our Benvolence Giving

You may be asking yourself, "Benevolence giving? Missionaries? Lagniappe? What does that mean? Doesn't Lagniappe NEED funds?

The answer to that question is quite simple: Yes, we need funding partners, but our need is not mutually exclusive to our giving. Very early on in the most infant days of Lagniappe we committed to giving away 10% of every undesignated gift that God provided to us. We knew and believed that the Kingdom of God was bigger than Bay St. Louis, Mississippi. We also knew that Lagniappe had only One donor and that He owned the cattle on a thousand hills. It was not a profound decision on the day we made it- 10% of nothing was NOTHING, but we believed that God would provide.

To date we have had the privilege of distributing over $250,000 in benevolence gifts from Waveland, Mississippi to the continent of Africa. We truly believe that our One donor can put more in an open, giving hand than a closed fist which seeks to keep, protect and store up funds for the purpose of providing 'security' in the future. Our security is more secure than a bank statement can indicate and we are thrilled to 'participate in the restoration' of all creation, not just the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
