When he’s not at work Jean can be found on the water sailing or fishing while listening to Jimmy Buffett. If it is deer or turkey season he is likely somewhere in the Mississippi, Tennessee or Louisiana woods freezing or slapping mosquitos depending on which season it is.

Curt Moore

Kelly and Curt MooreKelly and Curt Moore

Curtis E. Moore is an ordained PCA pastor originally from Orlando, Florida. In 1998, upon graduation from Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando, he moved to the Mississippi Gulf Coast and served as Assistant Pastor of First Presbyterian Church of Biloxi for 4 years. Immediately prior to Hurricane Katrina, Curt was on staff as a chaplain with Odyssey Hospice of the Gulf Coast and also with Child Evangelism Fellowship serving southern Mississippi. Shortly after Hurricane Katrina, through a partnership with Mission to North America, Curt began working with Lagniappe Presbyterian Church as Disaster Relief Coordinator for the Bay St. Louis and Waveland areas.

Curt and his wife, the former Kelly McCloskey of Biloxi, have been married since July of 2004 and live in Gulfport. Kelly works for Lagniappe and manages our "Pray for the Bay" website and her husband, too.

When Curt is not in his office, he can be found at the Mockingbird Cafe drinking espresso. He is also a self-avowed parrot head.  When he can get his hands on the microphone, he often pretends he is on "Love Boat."

Cammie Chapman

Dear Friends, I want you all to know it has been such a joy to work with you! I have enjoyed serving Lagnaippe and you for the past two and a half years.  I have learned so many things about our perfect Father, His provision, and His comfort during my time working here.

I want you to know that due to some family changes, my daughter and I will be moving to Gulfport to participate in the restoration of God's creation in Harrison County.  I will be with volunteers, which is a true blessing to me!

Lynne Sabin will be doing all the team scheduling for Lagnaippe, and she will be a treat for you to work with. Please keep in touch and keep Kate and me in your prayers!

With thanks,
Cammie Chapman

Jordan Sikkema

Jordan SikkemaJordan SikkemaJordan Sikkema is our team and project coordinator at Lagniappe Church. He came to us through Mission to the World with whom he served as an intern on the coast beginning at Biloxi and then into Bay St. Louis.

Jordan grew up in Fulton, Illinois. He went to high school in Chattanooga, Tennessee where his parents and two sisters still live. Jordan spent the last five years in Chicago and graduated from Trinity Christian College in 2004 with a biology and chemistry degree and then spent a year working for JFNew and Associates, an environmental restoration company.

When he's not on a roof putting on shingles he can be found coordinating cabbage ball games, or lying on the beach working on his burn.
Check out Jordan's house moving video.

Ruth Friant

Ruth FriantRuth FriantRuth Friant is from Jacksonville, North Carolina. She began her career at LPC as a Construction Coordinator and works closely with Jordan Sikkema scheduling teams and helping homeowners through the recovery process.

Richard and Barbara Warner

Barbara and Richard WarnerBarbara and Richard WarnerRichard and Barbara Warner came to Lagniappe in mid-June 2006 with their church. Their initial one week trip was life changing to say the least. By August, 2006, God had graciously provided positions for both of them on the LPC staff. Richard is the Business Administrator and has many areas for which he is responsible. Barbara does the bookkeeping, as well as working with pastoral scheduling.

Richard is a native of Conneticut who is a self-proclaimed southern having been in the south for 36 years. He and Barbara have been married 25 years. They met in Jacksonville, FL, Barbara's hometown. Barbara is a fifth generation Gator fan. Barbara was blessed to have grown up in Venezuela and speaks fluent Espanol.

Richard has two children and two grandchildren. Barbara has three children, two daughters and one son. She has six grandchildren ages 20 to one year. Their children are supportive of the move to Lagniappe in 2006. Of their time at Lagniappe, Barbara says often “it has been the best of times and the worst of times at the same time”. God is working His grace deeply into both of their lives individually, as a couple and in community with the staff and the members of Lagniappe Church Mission.

They live in the heart of “Old Town” BSL. Barbara is active in the community. She is the treasurer of the Hancock County Historical Society. She is active in the Bay Poets, as well. She and Richard can be seen frequently at the Mockingbird Cafe'.

Their interests include traveling, reading, music and enjoying good food with family and friends. They both continue to be overwhelmed that their lives are so blessed and don’t want to go back to “retirement” American style. Soli Deo Gloria!

John and Lynne Sabin

Lynne and John SabinLynne and John Sabin

John and Lynne Sabin joined the staff at Lagniappe in February 2007 after thirty two years of married life in Greenwood, MS.  A former farmer, John manages the everyday activities at the Lagniappe facility, keeping equipment running, supplies stocked and organized, and people moving.

Lynne is the Scheduling/Volunteer Coordinator for Lagniappe and is the "go to" person for questions about planning a mission trip and making your reservation.  She also does pastoral care home visits with our homeowners and others in the community.

Their greatest joy in being at Lagniappe is meeting all the volunteers who come from around the country to serve here.  John especially enjoys teaching the interns to drive heavy machinery and demolish buildings.  Lynne enjoys playing piano and showing that southern hospitality is in her DNA.  You can take the girl out of the Delta, but you can't take the Delta out of the girl!

Andrew Thompson

Andrew ThompsonAndrew ThompsonAndrew Thompson is from Cochranville, Pennsylvania. He joined the Lagniappe staff in March of 2007 to work with the construction staff. He is a skilled craftsman who worked building reproduction antique furniture in Pennsylvania before moving to the Bay.

Andrew spends his days leading teams through the various work projects LPC engages in. Whether it be roofing, drywall or framing Andrew is skilled for the job. He has a good rapport with teams and staff. He is genuinely gifted with the detail work needed on new construction.

Andrew is also the staff 'practical joker'.

 Sarah Denton

Sarah DentonSarah DentonSarah Denton, a graduate of Furman University, began her time at Lagniappe as one of our first interns. She now serves as the Resource Coordinator.  She stays busy promoting, traveling, and fundraising for Lagniappe, as well as recruiting teams and volunteers. Sarah spends her free time singing and dancing to Journey's Greatest Hits, mastering every Betty Crocker recipe in the book, and serving as Texas' ambassador to Bay St. Louis.

Keri Norwood

Keri NorwoodKeri NorwodKeri moved to the Bay from Jackson, MS but is originally from Gallman, MS.  She is a graduate of William Carey College in Hattiesburg, MS and has a degree in Elementary Education.  She serves as Assimilation Coordinator and spends her days helping residents connect to the ministry of Lagniappe.  This means she manages the front desk and incorporates members from the community into a vital part of the Lagniappe Church family.  She has been very helpful in setting up our front desk protocol, leading our first mission trip to Iowa City, Iowa and working with walk-in clients.

Misti Herrington

Misti HerringtonMisti HerringtonMisti Herrington is from a small town across the Bay of St. Louis called Pass Christian, MS. She is married with three young and very energetic children. Their names are Malaya, Makhi, and Makel. She is currently enrolled at MGCCC and plans to transfer to USM Gulf Coast to pursue a degree in Business Administration. In May of 2008 she left her job as a head-start secretary to become a member of the Lagniappe staff. Being affected by hurricane Katrina gave her a passion to give back to her community and help others in crisis situations. She works the front desk taking walk-in requests and work orders. She says, "It has been a very humbling experience to watch all the people that walk through our doors. Most of the people have been devastated by Katrina mentally, emotionally, physically and last but not least financially. I am absolutely blessed to be a part of Lagniappe and  touhelp so many people in our community."

Elizabeth Holman

Elizabeth HolmanElizabeth HolmanAn elementary teacher gone chef, Elizabeth Holman grew up in the Lone Star state. She left her cowboy state to attend Belhaven College in Jackson, Mississippi. She loved teaching for five years supplementing her teacher salary with catering jobs. She pursued her passion for cooking and attended the Mississippi University for Women Culinary Arts Institute. The yellow rose began cooking up delicious southern cuisine across the state of Mississippi. God nurtured in Elizabeth's heart from an early age an interest in Christian ministry. As she tells it, she received a divine phone call from Jean Larroux in October of 2006 and joined the Lagniappe team in November. She is officially "Bay-polar" and enjoys using her gifts of cooking and hospitality in such a fun and fast-paced enviroment.

Angelia Bourgeois Clark

Angelia Bourgeois ClarkAngelia Bourgeois ClarkAngelia Bourgeois Clark is a life-long resident of Bay Saint Louis. She has five wonderful children: Chantel, Ceige, Cegan, Chelsie, and Carlee. Her home was also affected by Katrina and needed to be demolished. She said, "I have been a stay at home mom for years and now all of a sudden needed to go back to work. I ended up running into an old friend I hadn't seen in over 20 years. Her name is Suzanne (Jean's cousin). She is absolutely wonderful. Suzanne offered me a job which transitioned into a job here at Lagniappe. It has been such a blessing to be here and work with such a wonderful, loving, and compassionate group of people. I love to see all the different groups each week come in to help and bless the Coast. It is just absolutely awesome! I am so thankful to God for the work He is doing in my life and also here at Lagniappe."
